In September 2022, Dr. Ying-Hui Feng was awarded the Young Scientists Fund by the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC). The project, titled "One-Step Biosynthesis of Chiral γ-Lactams via Rational Design of Cytochrome P411BM3", was granted 300,000 RMB in direct costs.
The Young Scientists Fund supports early-career researchers in conducting independent basic research within the scope of NSFC funding. It aims to foster their ability to lead scientific projects, drive innovative research, stimulate creative thinking, and cultivate the next generation of scientific talent.
